Law Fraternity Games 2023

COVID-19 gave us a timeout of two years where gatherings of the sporting kind were sadly put on hold. One such gathering which was sorely missed was the Law Fraternity Games (LFG) between the centenarians of the Law Society of Singapore (LSS) and the youthful forces of the legal education institutions in Singapore.

The LFG was born out of social principles where those in the profession would mingle with those soon-to-be in the profession, including the principle of igniting the natural instincts for friendly competition.

We were finally able to return to the sporting field this year, and the turnout was amazing, with great sportsmanship and many LinkedIn connections made.

As the adage goes, the education of circumstances is superior to that of tuition – an analysis of the score lines reveals that LSS had come out top in all 13 of the competitive games played (with Frisbee being a friendly match):

However, the mood was exuberant at many of the sporting venues as well as at the closing ceremony held at the LSS Members’ Lounge.

The connectivity was also seamless, blessed by a larger spectrum of radio waves from our sponsor for LFG2023, MyRepublic (telecommunications provider in Singapore).

Thanks also go out to the LSS LFG Sub-Committee and the student convenors for their hard work and effort:
