Advisory Note on Security Clearance at Public Buildings

In today’s world of heightened security threats and incidents, Singapore is not exempt from the need to stay vigilant and to play our part in the global community.

As a result, there may be exceptional occasions when security clearance at public buildings such as the Courts or Government buildings are stepped up especially if a security concern surfaces. During such times, without any permanent change of protocol for security clearance in such buildings, we have received official word that the existing security practices and protocols may have to be adjusted at short notice to ensure the safety and security of all users and occupants of the buildings concerned.

We seek all members’ understanding in this matter.
